Just me again with probably another daft question.......
Rodney is a few days oop now and is taking to his milk via syringe well, this morning I took him out of his bed and his skin looked really wrinkly, I thought it might be dried milk turned sticky but I wiped his fur and a few hours later it's still like that. I've gave him some warm ish water incase he was dehydrated as well as his milk, any ideas what's up? Sorry I know I'm a pest asking what u probably think are silly questions  Huh

Hi,
have you tried "the tent test" where you gently pull the flesh on the back of his neck upwards and then release it. if it bounces back into shape he should not be dehydrated, but if it stays pulled up, then he is dehydrated, your vet will be able to give him an injection of fluid under the skin which his body will absorb over a day or so.

Thanks for that. Took me a while cos he's a little wriggly thing but I managed to pull the skin and it went back into place. I've just fed him a few more drops of water before his milk cos I'm still unsure now. He seems a lovely little chappy, not bald either like Mr T was. I just hope he survives.

I was just going to suggest raising the humidity, but I see you've already done that.  What type of milk are you using?

I'm using baby milk which is what I used with Mr T and he was fine. But I'm thinking I need to get that puppy formula, or will it upset him changing? I feel so I adequate, but my heart is in the right place
