Anyone tried 'Reeps diet'?
Been speaking to a breeder in the US who has all of hers on this. I've never seen such smooth, thick looking coats! (Apart from a few of ours lol)

From what I can gather it is most popular amongst suggies that don't like honey. (Never fed mine honey so wouldn't know) and it seems to be basically our diet of fruit/veg mush but with this mixture instead of the Iams ...

2 jars chicken baby food (2.5 ounce, stage one)

5-6 ounces apple juice

2 tablespoons Wambaroo High Protein Supplement*

4 tablespoons mixed baby cereal

Just wondered if anyone had tried it. I like the fact it doesn't seem to be sugar based. Altho, isn't baby food quit sugary? And also that it is fed alongside the fruit/veg mixture. 1 teaspoon per glider is recommended. Can also be frozen.

I trust the opinions of the people I know on the site more than anything I read on the net thats why i'm asking. Just wondered if anybody had tried it. The only thing that I can think of myself that would be a problem is that they would lose the crunch aspect of their diets.

I would never recommend that diet.  There are so many better diets out there.  Reep's was just cobbled together by someone who also has had a high rate of deaths with no known causes and major calcium deficiencies.  It is not approved by vets and really not a good diet, in my opinion.  Please choose one of the diets that has years of use without so many problems.  Your Iams is most likely much higher in nutrition than this diet.  Once again, this is my opinion and is based on what I know of the creation of this diet and problems that  people who have used the diet have experienced.

I think I must have tried every diet out there but each time I came back to the same old same old.  I even made the HPW diet once but ended up feeding it to the striped possums I had instead of the gliders!

You don't 'have' to use the Wombaroo as part of the HPW diet, it can be used as a supplement in it's own right, and funnily enough (lol), I have ordered a couple of packs for the shop which arrived yesterday - It's expensive though!  Lips sealed
