If anyone knows how to and has time to do so, could I please have some recipes that include:
Cauliflower,
Broccolli,
Tomato,
Cucumber,
Plum,
Apricot

There doesn't seem to be any with these in, if this is bacuase they're crap ingredients, just let me know.
Only thing to bare in mind is that mine wont touch watercress or sugar snap peas.
If there are any other fruit/veg not included in Tillie's recipes I'd love to have some

Thanks

I've tried to have a go, but maths really was never my strong point. Never even got to grips with x tables! Dad was the brains of the family  Sad
Can someone please check...

Papaya + 1/2   7.2:1  (4.8 + 2.4 = 7.2)
Broccolli                    0.7:1
Mango      0.9:1
Cat Biscuits      1:1
Pear         1:1

So, 7.2 + 0.7 + 0.9 + 1 + 1 = 10.8
10.8 / 5 = 2.16

is the ratio then 2.16:1 which would be rounded up to 2.2:1? is the calcuim too high?

Oooh, if I use HALF the pear it adds up to 2.06:1 this would be better?? Because if I use the same amount of each fruit but use 1/2 pear amount instead of full amount, (pear being 1:1 it would be 05:1???) please please let this be the case...

My head hurts....

Here's one I think I've done with Apricots in. I'm trying to use a minimum of 3 fruit or veg in mix and trying to always have both fruit and veg in the recipes.

Papaya      4.8:1
Apricot                    0.7:1
Mango      0.9:1
B/Squash                    1.5:1
Cat Biscuits      1:1

1.78:1 rounded to 1.8:1 ??

Here's one with Cucumber and cauliflower

Papaya + 1/2   7.2:1
Cauliflower                    0.5:1
Cucumber                    0.7:1
Mango              0.9:1
Cat Biscuits       1:1

2.06:1 rounded to 2.1:1

I'm being a pain aren't I?  Embarrassed it might come in useful for others if I'm right though!  Roll Eyes

This one has kiwi in. I want to make sure I'm on the right lines of you + half papaya, use double amount of apple etc. Only the calcuim changes, but not the Phosphorus? so instead of 1 portionof apple being 1:1, if you used twice as much as the other ingredients, the apple would then be 2:1 ?

Papaya      4.8:1
Kiwi      0.7:1
Carrot      0.6:1
Apple(double)      2:1
Cat biscuits      1:1

1.82:1  rounded to 1.8:1

If they won't touch sugar snap peas which are relatively sweet then I doubt they'll eat cauliflower, broccoli or even tomato!  Non of my animals seem to like tomato for some reason, not even the lemurs!

None of the ingredients you want to use have a particularly good ca:p ratio either!   Huh

Bugger. I'm stuck then  Sad
I just wanted to give them more variety. Think the watercress I used had quite a peppery aftertaste (I always eat some of their mush to taste) n the sugarsnap pea recipe seems to be a bit drier/clumpier, if that makes sense??
So are apricots/plums/kiwi etc better avoided because of crap ratios? Are the ingredients I should be using at the top of your tables? Think I'll just be sticking to Tillie's recipes by the looks of things. Not that that's bad (that came out sounding a bit rude!)  Embarrassed Just wanted to see if I could add some stuff into the mix.

2 measures of Butternut Squash
1 measure of carrot
2 meausre of Papaya
2 measures of Persimmon (sharon fruit)
1 measures of Pumpkin
1 measure of Sweet potato

That gives you 1.83:1

Gonna sound dumb now (no need to break a habit of a lifetime)  the recipe of mine that has 1.8:1 is crap because of the ingredients being poor and not that the ratio is crap then? Does that make sense?  Huh

The veg is a bit crap really - lol!  Not only are they not particularly attractive to suggies broccoli and cauliflower are major gas producing veg.  The way in which suggies digest food due to their elongated caecum also produces gas, so you're going to have one stinky suggie room!!  LMAO!  Or possible bloated suggies!

Seriously though, butternut squash, sweet potato and papaya are very nutritious veg and fruit they're classed a superfoods.  And Pumpkin?  Well, you can get that at the moment for ridiculously cheap!  And it lasts for ages!

Only thing to bare in mind is that mine wont touch watercress or sugar snap peas.

neither do mine, I believe it's quite a general thing across the board.

I use cucumber in some of my recipes, mainly as a 'filler' plus it makes their fruit/veg mixes smell much nicer than if I didn't use it!!!!

Or possible bloated suggies!

Hehe little buddha suggies lol
I do use but-nut, sweet potato and papaya in my mixes, and they always go down a treat! lol

Mine wont touch the peas but will eat watercress. The only veg i'v really tried em with is butternut squash, carrots, sweet potato and watercress. They get at least 2 of them per mush mix, and they really like them so I don't bother trying them with different ones.

I'v experimented before and made a big batch, then had them turn their nose up at it and i've wasted it all. So I stick with what I know they like, just vary the fruit cos they don't seem too fussy about that.

And suggies with gas? Hahaha .... that would be grim! x
