I'm picking up my new little boy on monday! His name is Stitch (as in Lilo and Stitch Smiley ) I asked the lady what she's been feeding him and she replied ....
"I make him fromage frais and fruit ice cubes, also I give him livefood - mealworms and occasional nuts and acacia honey."

Not worried too much about that, I like that he gets blended fruit like mine, mite have to start sneaking him a few veggies in tho! Peeka and Boo weren't keen on mealies but I can always buy some in for him. Not sure about the nuts, acacia honey? Whats that? The powder mixed with honey? Mine get acacia gum so that shouldn't be too much of a sqap for him. I don't really wana feed honey at all is poss. Not sure about the fromage frais, thats just yogurt isn't it?

And as for protein, I didn't think that worms had enough protein in them to be fed as part of the main diet, will try him on Iams. Don't think he's ever had em before so may have to start soaking them .... we'll soon see.

Will a sudden change in new foods affect his belly at all tho? I know with puppies your supposed to change their food over the space of like a week or something. Same with him? Should I keep him on fromage frais for a few days and just gradually cut it down and introduce Iams?x

I dont think mine ever had biscuits before me and they crunched away at them. As for diet, I just started as I meant to go on and after 2 days they ate it all with no unwanted side effects!

I know mine wouldn't eat crunchy biscuits for a while. I put them in the bowl with their mush, sometimes they would find a hard one, take one bite and throw the whole thing out the cage. Then one day they just decided they liked the crunch .... strange Smiley
