Not sure if it ok to post here but really need some help. Puff has sneezing/sniffles etc and a swollen nose. She is also being treated for a severly swollen front arm -she cannot use at all. She is on metacam and baytril. However she now is really wet. Almost le she has sat in water (but hasn't). It is not poo as she is passing soft but formed ones. She is trying to eat but struggling - she has been out around 8 times today to try. I have also been syringing some baby food and her normal fruit mush in and she has been ok with this.

She is not settled and looks awful - skinny, bad fur and generally bedraggled. She keeps kind of chirping - I'm guessing sneezing.  Any idea on the wet from her lower half?

Also - can I move their cage so it is kn front of a radiator for extra warmth?

Any help appreciated

Make sure she is warm so if you need to move the cage closer to the radiator then do so.  Don't put the whole cage against it though just in case she does get too hot, she needs to be able to move away from the heat.

Make sure is is hydrated if she is urinating more if could dehydrate her.  How old is she?

Thank you. Have just moved her so she is against but not touching the rad. Also have a blanket covering the radiator so it is not direct heat ifthat makes sense! Will leave heating on tonight. They are also in a small pouch that is on a bigger pouch but still looking out.

She has just taken 1.5ml of boiled water and honey mixed with a puree of mango, papaya, raspberry, chicken and a sprinkle of bee pollen and acacia gum. Added the water for dehydration.

Also should add that her nose is black and nearly twice the size of the little man. I wondered if itcould be the continual sneezing etc causing wetness?? She sneezed whilst on me earlier and I got sprayed!

Mr man on the other hand never ventures out! Barely clapped eyes on him! Taken some of her syringe eagerly tho from the depths of his pouch!!

She is approx 9 months old and I am getting ridiculously fond of her

Thanks for help. She going back to the vets on Monday. Bit of a long shot about the 'snot' making her wet as she is curled up .

The vet saw her for her swollen arm, did she have these other symptoms when you took her?

Just wanted to add that after medicating her this morning her poo is solid and it is definitely wee. She was almost permanently pee'ing. Any ideas? I am going to try and find the number of an exotic vet if I can

Really appreciate your help

I'd imagine her back end is wet because she's not positioning herself to urinate properly and she's not cleaning herself.  I think it could be a side effect of the anti biotics but check with your vet.

It's odd that she has a swollen limb and a swollen nose - is she being picked on?

Also - while she's on anti biotics give her a small amount of live yogurt daily to replenish the gut flora.

Thank you.I have found a vet that deals with exotics and they are getting her notes and ringing me back. Pretty sure she isn't being picked on. I put the nose down to her sniffles and I wondered if she may have 'stretched' and the grumpy female she travelled with bit her foot? Just guessing as the guy she is with has shown no aggression yet.

I will get some yoghurt today. Is 1ml of syringe food too little?

Thanks again

Half a teaspoon - she'll probably just lick it off the spoon if it's nice!  I give mine Onken Bio pot, they do lots of really nice flavours, my suggies love mango and passion fruit one - it's gorgeous!

I wouldn't have thought her nose is swollen because of the sneezing, suggies sneeze while cleaning themselves and that is normal.  I would have thought that whatever is causing her nose to swell is causing the excessive sneezing.
