Am I being overcautious, I seriously couldn't let my girls out in a proper room, in a bloody bare corridor with the toys I've made them (ropes etc) they're like bloody ping pong balls shooting everywhere. I have to completely sweep the floor before they come out coz Tink will try n eat EVERYTHING she sees on the floor and in a big room there's so many places to hide, things to chew etc etc

Not at all, I won't let my girls out in a 'normal' room. I used to when I lived in chester as my living room was bare apart from a sofa and tv. That was it. And they still managed to give me a heart attack one day as they squeezed their way INSIDE my sofa. Like not just behind the cushions, actually inside the frame. I had to just wait like a nervous wreck all day until they decided to come out for food, occasionally pressing on the sofa so that they're crab just so I knew they were still alive! I quickly stuffed that hole up good and proper once they EVENTUALLY came out!

But no I wouldn't let them out in my bedroom. They wont come to me when I want them to, if anything once they're 'free' they want to be anywhere but on me. They're getting better at staying near me but giving them a new room with furniture is not something i'll be doing soon! But I can have Stitch out in my bedroom and he'll have a little wonder around but every minute or so he'll come back to me and I can grab and hold him if I need to, whereas when I try to pick my girls up they wiggle like crazy sometimes!

Just need to keep being patient ... one day they'l get it Smiley x

The thing with suggies is they can get anywhere!  I remember years ago when I lived with my parents still, Dinx had the run of my room (with supervision) and she went very quiet for ages!  Then I heard a rustle, tracked it down and opened the bottom drawer of my wardrobe.  There was Dinx looking up at me having devoured the sponge off a jaffa cake that I had put in there out of the way!!!!

I lost one of my girls in the dam cage! Yes, really. I made them a no sew platform and to start off with I put it down towards the bottom. I was out that night ( I allow myself one night a week ) and so mum fed them for me. I got in about 2.30 am having made the mose of my night of freedom and went up to see them. One was on top of the nesting box staring at me and I couldn't see the other. I looked in all the pouches, the nest box, the tunnel, behind the wheel coz one likes to hide there, searched the top bars n everything. Surely one couldn't have got out whilst mum was putting food in coz she'd feel it on her arm. Just about to go wake her and thro a huge bitch fit of her loosing my baby and now need ing a middle of night house search, I clicked that the no sew thig I made dips slightly in the middle, she's crawled right underneath it,  just where it dips from the bars and was barely nooticeable. Longest 5 mins of my life!!
Therefore no way in one of our rooms, coz if I can loose her in a sealed cage there's no hope in a room, lol.
