Well, I took my girls and stitch (both in their own pouches) to a neutral corridor area this evening. Thought it'd be best when they are still a little sleepy so did it at around 6pm before they woke up by themselves. My girls jumped straight out of theirs and began wondering around, then they noticed I still had a pouch in my hand (with Stitch inside) and Peeka ran straight up me and jumped into the pouch before I could grab her. Not really what I was hoping for as I knew that she didn't realise he was inside it and it could well be a nasty shock. Half expecting a little scuffle to break out I quickly put the pouch flat and unfolded it so I could grab both suggies but as I opened it they were just sniffing eachothers faces. I took them both out and Peeka quickly ran straight back to Stitch (who still looked abit dazed after just waking). He started making that wierd clicky/wheezy noise and she began sniffing his bum. Then Boo came over, more wheezing, lots of clicking, some grooming, some chasing (but not aggressively), all seems well so far ..... I put the pouch on the floor infront of where I was sitting and Stitch wondered back into it. Peeka and Boo both followed him. I had it open so I could see inside and they all just sat there, squashed together just looking at me. Stitch in the middle, a girl on each arm lol. I managed to stroke all 3 of them inside the pouch (normally my two get a little crabby unless I go in with a treat) but there was nothing but chirpy noises. I gave it about 5 min as they seemed to all just want to go to sleep then I seperated them and put them back in their own cages. They've just woken again now and theyre opposite eachother on the bars of the cages lol, just chatting away. Hopefully it'l be a happy ending when I can move him in with them

how long have they been separate?
sounds really good! tbh, i would probs have left them to it. The fact they were grooming each other then invited the spare glider into their bed is a great sign.

I've had Stitch quarantined in my bedroom for just over 2 wk, he's been living in the room with my girls for almost a week now, started pouch swapping straight away.
I'd be able to house them together now I reckon but i'm just trying to wait a little bit longer as my two are only almost 8 month old and if he was to breed with them they're still abit young aren't they?x

Are you wanting them to breed or are you getting male neutered?

Awww, what a shame! They sound like they got along great! It's a shame to split them again. 8 months isn't ideal but you were expecting the intros to last a little longer. You could move the cages in to the same room and let them out for playtime together every night.

I was wanting to breed because I'd like about 7/8 of them eventually. I think it'd be nice to have them in a colony, and I think 7/8 is as much as I could look after properly. Yeah Marie his cage is in the same room already, moved him in last wednesday. They been 'chatting' to eachother and showing abit of interest, thats why I asked about the playtime. Mite wait a few more weeks before putting them in together. I didn't really wana breed before they were 1. I'd just been 'window shopping' if it were for suggies (there aren't really many in my area) and saw a lady who had a young male for sale close to me. Wanted him to go with females. I still hadn't built my new cage for the girls so she kept him for me for a month. She had quite a few people asking for him but seemed quite determined he went with me. He was housed alone at hers after a fall out with his brother, told her it would be a while before I put him in with mine (because of the breeding age thing) and we decided it would be ok to keep him in the same room for a while. At least he was getting some glider company and because he is so friendly it makes it really easy for me to spend more time with him as he will hapily sleep on me or just hang out on me. Maybe they wont breed for years, some people do own breeding groups but they can go months/years without joeys. Just my luck tho 1 or both of mine would get knocked up within a week. Maybe christmas day might be a nice time x

Well, another playtime tonight. Left it abit later so they were more active. They were chirping away at each other thru the cages as I went into the room to get them. Took them all into the corridor, girls carried in their pouch and Stitch somewhere on my leg lol. They got on brilliantly again Just lots of bum sniffing, face grooming and clicking but definately so far so good! Had some feathers to play with, they all had a little roam and did their own thing for a while and then after about an hour they made their way back into their pouches. I put my girls back into their cage and I have Stitch asleep in my pocket atm. Didn't wana put him straight back to being alone after playtime so I always keep him with me until I go to bed. Don't think I cud have hoped for better so far x
