... a little diet experimentation? I've been using my 'new and improved' diet for a few months now and I am very pleased with the results. Let me start by saying A) It's NOT expensive B) It's NOT going to complicate the diet any more C) It's not a stunt to increase my sales because you're not actually using any more than the recommended supplements anyway, and the extra bits aren't from me! The reason I have altered the diet is because my Dinky Lou was poorly and she lost a lot of condition and looked a bit of a sorry state! So I looked around the WWW, and found a diet that I kind of like but thought it needed simplifying and making 'doable' for the UK. Dinx is fit and well again and looking great, she's got energy and is loving the diet, in fact she'll sit and eat her own food even when I'm eating mine! Normally she'll help herself to mine but seems content to eat her own! So ... anyone??

Ok. Please let me know if you decide to try it as I'm really interested in knowing what the results are like on younger gliders (mine are mostly all pensioners! - Lol!)
When doing a large batch:
Do fruit/veg mix as normal.
Prepare your fruit/veg batch and add to it
3 x tablespoons of WHEATGERM vitamin supplement as per normal 1 x teaspoon of bee pollen 1/2 teaspoon of acacia gum 2 x tablespoons of low fat natural yogurt Soaked linseed
Whizz it all up in the food processor.
Linseed, when doing a large batch of suggie food, put two tablespoons of linseed in a bowl with about 8 tablespoons of boiling water and leave to soak while preparing the batch. The seeds will absorb the water and become ‘oily’.
On every other night add 1 x boiled egg (without the shell) to the mix for the protein, also add calcium supplement - whizz in food processor with mix.
On every other night, miss the calcium and give the cat biscuits for that all important crunch!
I also add fruit juice to the mix, it’s not your bog standard orange or apple though, I tend to use Princes Mango, or Rubicon juices, it depends what’s on offer. I don’t like to give apple/orange as they are too acidic.
The Wheatgerm and Linseed I buy from Holland and Barratt - if you don’t have one near you they do have an online shop with really cheap P & P. I use 1 bag of wheatgerm to 2 bags of linseed, here are the links to what I use.
The yogurt is low fat, plain natural yogurt. I use Onken but any is fine, just check it is pro biotic and does not contain Aspartame.
Take a picture of before and after and please let me know whether it makes any difference to your suggies.

Shelled boiled egg? Really? I'm guessing that's hard boiled yeh? Lol, I couldn't imagine eating shell ...yuk! I'm sure we have a holland and barratt, or at least we did, everywhere seems to be closing down lol. And i'm due to make a new batch tomorrow so i'll get some pics of my 3 tonight and start them on it tea time tomorrow x
