Hiya guys, if you've seen my thread in the introductions section you'll already know that I'm on the lookout for my first gliders in the not so distant future. Smiley

I've done quite a bit of research & feel fairly confident in regards to their diet now, but there's one question that may seem a little bit daft, but it's been bugging me for ages & I can't seem to find the answer to it online anywhere.

I understand all about glider supplements & nectar drinks (I ordered all of this today in preparation for when I find my first gliders), but.. with the nectar drinks, how are these given to the gliders? Do you mix them into their food? Or literally give it to them as a drink in a water bottle?

I hope this isn't too much of a stupid question, I just want to make sure I know the ins & outs of everything beforehand rather than getting my gliders & then all of these questions popping up then!

Thanks guys.  Grin

I use gliderade and I just put it in a dish in their cage. Sometimes if I make a big batch with a few veggies in, they are harded to blend than fruit so I make up a little gliderade and pour that in to help it blend rather than water. I wouldn't put it in a water bottle unless you have a spare cos they still need to have fresh water available even if you give them gliderade aswell x

I find it a bit thick and pasty ( I may be making it uo wrong) so I dont think it'd work great in a bottle, I pop it ina dish and they lap it up, it's gone within 10 mins, they love the stuff!

I put it in their food dish.  I don't make the mixture with it, if it's too thick i add fruit juice like Rubicon Mango, or there's some really nice fruit juice mixes around like DelMonte Mango and Papaya, or ... I can't think of the name!  It's the rasta guy that won Dragons Den with his sauce.  He does a really nice papaya and lime.
