short tail

just another random question, both my sugs are healthy, happy and have lovely fur but one has like half a tail. she was like it when i got her and the previous owner said she was like it when she got her. its not manky or anything and it doesnt hurt her but would this affect her ability to glide because they use their tails for direction?

my one with the full tail can glide fine, but this one seems to want to but never does, and i just thought maybe it was her tail?

They do use their tail to glide but I wouldn't have thought that they would be able to glide far enough in a house/room for it to stop her. In the wild where they glide 100's of metres then yeh defo, but mine have never 'glided' further than about 2 feet, more like a big jump really. Might be wrong tho x

ahh i see, thanks, it was just something my mum thought of and i had no idea whether it would stop her or not but she doesnt seem to glide but you can tell that she wants to lol x

None of my colony glide, but my new female seems to like it! lol Some gliders glide, others dont.
