Hey all
Not been online for a bit due to moving house and sky making a cock up with my Internet. Never mind though it's sorted now lol. Anyway as some of you may know I've been desperately seeking a cage mate for Bella. Well a couple of weeks ago I got him!!!! He's same age as Bella, 4months. He's lovely!! A bit smaller than her but he's so energetic it's unreal,  not used to my gliders throwing themselves off curtain rails cos Mr T never did And Bella just plods along lol. I've called him Murdoch.
He's not the friendliest, he's ok with me when he's in his cage (I caved in and got the villa casa cage lol) but when I put my hand in he bites me, hard. Just wanting some tips?? He won't come near me out of his cage. I'm asking for advice cos both my gliders were hand reared by myself since birth so they r used to me.

Congrats! I guess tent play time and persistence will wear him down and eventually stop the biting.

Is he drawing blood? He is biting you as he is unsure of you. Pretty much all my lot will nip other people, just because they arnt too sure of all the new smells.

it sometimes takes a few weeks/months for a glider to bond with you. It doesnt happen overnight.

Try offering him treats, such as mealworms, yoggie drops, dried papaya, yogurt lids etc to win him over. There are lots of ways to a suggies heart, but treats seem to get you there quicker! lol

The most important thing to do though is not overload yourself on him at this time. In the early stages of bonding, one wrong move can land you right back on square one. Take it nice and slow and eventually he will come to you without nipping. Smiley
