Mine get up when I go in to feed them, if I'm late feeding they're till up by 6.30pm!  In the summer that will change a little as the days are lighter for longer.

When I first got my girls (they were around 10wk old) they were NEVER up earlier than midnight. It could be 2-3am sometimes. I think that possibly it's because they were in my living room and as it got darker I had a light on. They are now in a spare bedroom so they mainly just get natural light. From the day I put them in there they woke at 6pm, couldn't believe how quickly they changed. And now they normally wake anytime between 6-9pm. Where do you keep yours?x

mine get up when i go in. usually around 10-11. ive got into this awful habit of feeding them late.

its a habit i picked up when i was working in a restaurant. i would feed them when i got in from work and its just stuck. need to change that habit though. id love to feed them at say, 7pm, but its like going against a routine! lol

can u handle them easily? You waking up at 4am would be fine as long as you can get them back into the cage easily! It can take me hours to catch mine sometimes so for me, letting them out just before work wasn't really a good idea x

Im just starting to gain there trust i aint even thought about trying to pick them up. They run around me no problem and are curious to everything and i can coax them into there pouch easy enough. They still crab when i open the pouch but as soon as they notice something on my fingers they shut up pretty quick haha

Hi Tommy,
If you use a red or green lightbulb in your livingroom in the evenings they cant see it so will think its night. and/or you could put a normal clear lamp close to the cage on a timer to come on very early each morning they will think its dawn and go to sleep so might start getting up a bit earlier to make up for it?

Hi Tommy. If left to their own devices my two girls dont get up til bout 11ish (lazy like their mummy Roll Eyes)
I get them out at nine for a couple of hours as there's no way I'd function on their time table, they seem fine when I get them out at 9. They spend about 10-20 mins snuggling up and then with a bit of coaxing Tink then comes out n turns into the Tazmanian Devil! Although neither are keen to get back in the pouch after, it takes me about 5 mins to catch them n put them back in it

my girls are like Emma's, if left, they won't wake up til about 10.30 ish, but I take their pouch out of their cage and have them sitting on my lap and they'll get out on their own accord sooner after. I do this after I know they've woken up -after hearing a succession of noises. But getting them back into the cage after playing is definately a skill I'm yet to master lol
