Hiya,

I'm a suggie stalker!  Embarrassed
I've liked sugar gliders for 5/6 years since I was a kid, at first I thought it was most likely just a fad but I have continued to like them and now I have decided to do lots and lots of indepth research to hopefully become a suggie slave, lol!

The thing that put me off at first was all the mess and I didn't like the idea of scrubbing bars to keep them clean or all the mess up my walls or on the floor, so a very well ventilated vivarium type setup has sorted that issue and I am planning to plant it out with non-toxic plants and branches, to keep it as natural as possible and I'm going to provide the biggest I can which is 7'x3'x7' (LxWxH) vivarium to give a pair or trio the most room as I can but they will still be allowed out on the night for a few hours for play time with me  Smiley

I'm here to bug you all with all my questions, lol!

Hiya and welcome to the forum Emmie. Dont be afraid to ask as many questions as you like, no matter how silly you think they are. We are all very friendly here Smiley

Have a little read through the stickies, and any question that you are unsure of or need a little more advice, just ask.

As already mentioned, vivs are great, and alot of keepers on here especially are actually thinking about turning to vivs now. No mess on the walls, keeps heat in better, and you can do much better natural style setups for them.

It seems a really nice forum so far, I did join GliderCentral although it didn't seem like such a warm welcome Undecided

All the stickys here have been a great help too!

Welcome! The size of that viv sounds AMAZING! People normally put trellis up around the sides to make full use of the space, bet it'l look gorgeous! It's so exciting when you first kit out your enclosure Cheesy

Hope this site helps! Are you UK then or US?x

Hi, welcome to SGF. GC is a nightmare! They're very set in their ways and don't approve of a different way of doing things!  I'm a GC casualty from many years ago!

Since putting pics up of my naturalish setups there seems to be a lot of copy cat decorating going on lol! I have to admit though I prefer a more natural looking enclosure.

speaking of copycat(ing) lol, my hollow cork branch came yesterday! The girls LOVE it! And they had lots of fun sucking out the gumivore fare from the holes I drilled into it!
Can't wait for next month tho, poor Stitch is definately missing out x

I'm thinking of putting pressed rough cork bark around the walls but I would make it secure enough they couldn't get it off but still make sure I could remove it to replace it when it gets dirty, that way they can climb on it and its easier to attach branches to securely and certain plants can climb up it

I'm really excited and I'm only researching, lol!

I'm from the UK but I couldn't access here first so I tried GC
