Cat Litter question
«

Heya all!
This is mainly for the cat litter users like myself, but i thort id make it into a topic so everyone can read it.
I currently use woodbased cat litter for the gliders, and ive noticed quite alot of cat litter is "pine scented". I was under the impression that pine is poisonous to small animals, so im abit confused as to how it can be suitable. Atm, i use a no fragranced natural one from ASDA which is working really well, but ive seen really big bags in P@H, which are about 40litres 2 for £18, but every single one is pine scented.
Does anyone who uses cat litter have the pine scented one? i would use paper based, but im a bit scared as last time i tried it, i got what i assumed was a good make (Bob Martins) and it looked like bloody hoover dust, so im very shy now when it comes to paper based! lol
As i said, i dont mind using the one i use atm, but it would make it easier i guess when ASDA have ran out, knowing i can just pick some up from work (all ours are pine scented too!)

Funnily enough, we had this discussion last week. Apparently urine reacts with the pine resin and creates a toxic gas, but apparently it would take litres of urine for it to be dangerous. I emphasise apparently as I personally do not know this for sure, it was one of my geeky friends that assured us of this.

In the kitty litter isn't it just pine scent? Not the resin?
