I've noticed this evening that the fur of one of my girls (Kyla - miss bossy boots) is a little bit thin at the back of her head/neck. I've never noticed it before.

is there somethin I can do to improve the fur - or am i just being a little overprotective/paranoid? lol

ive never seen that before! there is a definate line between full fur and thin fur!

Is it possible she could of been rubbing or squeezing her head somewhere she shouldnt?

I'll have a look at their cage and toys tonight, to check that there's no tight squeezes

I've just had kyla out and the fur on her neck has thinned out even more, so much so she's starting to go bald. Earlier in the month I was checking regularly and wasn't noticing any improvement nor any further deterioration, but I havent checked for a nearly a week and I can now see a huge difference. I just can't fathom why it's occurring. Any help please  Sad

Hey John, the other glider may be over grooming her, or she may be overgrooming herself. Has anything at all changed recently? food? location? pouches? have they been separated for any time?

I make Glider pouches and cage furniture, take a look in the for sale section for prices or PM me for more details

no on all counts! lol I was intending of doing a furniture wash this weekend (pouch etc.). Their food is one that they've had last year, but this thinning of the fur has only really started this month, and I haven't moved their cage at all since I've had them. And no, I've never separated them. Could it be something toxicological - heavy metals from the bars?

Aw bless her, poor little Kyla! Might Suky (good name btw- that's v similar to my little bunnies name!) be over grooming her?  I know you said you didn't see any extra scratching, but Suky could potentially be grooming her a little too thoroughly?

Edit: Sorry I posted after you guys did and didn't see the responses *is useless*
