Bourbon's Modified Leadbeater (BML)

I'm afraid the measurements are all American, they can be converted here http://www.onlineconversion.com/cooking_volume.htm

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup apple juice

1 egg hard boiled with shell if no babies that are 3 weeks oop
blend

1 4oz bottle PREMIXED Gerber juice with yogurt (Mixed Fruit or Banana)
1 Teaspoon of Rep-Cal HERPTIVITE vitamin suppliment

2 teaspoons Rep-Cal Calcium Suppliment non-phosphorus with Vit. D3 in it.

2 2 1/2 oz jar of Stage 1 or 2 Heinz, Gerber or Beechnut Chicken baby food

1/4 cup Wheat Germ (take out if you have babies)

1/2 cup dry baby cereal.. Heinz or Gerber (Mixed or Oatmeal)

Blend well , turn off blender, It should be  pour into ice cube trays and FREEZE, it will freeze to the consistency of ice cream.

1 cube in ice cube tray is approx. 2 tablespoons and this will feed 1 glider for approximately 1 month.

This should be placed in a seperate bowl to the fruit and veggies on offer.  Use fresh or frozen, you don't have to worry about ca:p ratio with these as the mix itself has a very high ratio.

Pocket's Modified Leadbeater Diet (PML)

1 & 3/4 cups of bottled water
1 & 1/2 cups of Australian honey (1 & 3/4 if any other kind of honey)
2 hard boiled eggs
1 ounce (30g) Wombaroo High Protein Supplement

Mixing Directions

Place water into microwave safe bowl and heat for 2 minutes
Stir honey into warm water until dissolved.
Place water/honey mixture and eggs into a blender and blend for 1 minute
Add 1 ounce of Wombaroo High Protein Supplement
Blend for 1 minute

Pour into freezer safe bowl with lid and freeze. Pockets gives 1 & 1/2 tablespoons for two gliders.

Please be aware! This is not Pockets' entire diet plan, it is just an example of another Leadbeaters modification.

With this diet could the Rep-Cal products be substituted with any other brands.

Not really, substitute any of the ingredients and you risk altering the balance of the diet.

I think we are going to use some excellent ideas sent to us by Tillie who we would like to thank, also along very similar lines to your own. Also a special thanks to you for your reassurance the other night, we feel much happier now and are getting back on track.

I'll do it this afternoon, it'll be on a different email account though as its larger than 2M!

Tilly is probably the best person to advise as far as bml goes, she used it for a while I believe.  I only used it for about a month, didn't like it so stoppped. 

I'm glad to have set your mind at ease ... I have now removed all references to Amey Zoo from my site, I'm not having someone that gives out totally inaccurate suggie information AND tells bare faced lies about me on there!!!

hi if i used the bml diet what else (and quantaties ) would i need? would this also be a day to day diet that doesnt need to be changed? has this diet been used on gliders for years and is there any known problems with this diet?

Modified Leadbeaters in one form or another has been used in the States (mainly) for years, unfortunately they are only just now learning the error of their ways!  Obesity, diabetes, problems with the teeth, growths on liver from too much fructose in the diet.  It was designed to be used daily along with certain recommended veg and 5 mealworms. 

I seriously would not recommend these diets they're far too high in sugar, I liken them to feeding your kids doughnuts and cola everyday.

thx for the info, what diet is fully safe to use that has all is neaded? what do you feed yours?
