hi my name is Sean, I have been reading up about sugar gliders for the past few weeks and i thought here would be a great place to learn more. At the moment i do not own any SG but i hope to own 2 males/females soon. I have a royal python, a corn snake, a leopard gecko, loads of fish and 3 dogs.

Well nice to meet everyone,
 Wink

Lol I actually dont keep a tort, when i joined i was looking into getting a russian (horsefield) but they all told me how hard it was and how they need to live outside all year round and there way is the only way. Anyway i decided to go for a leopard gecko instead then i got my royal then my corn. Its weird that the tort section is the only bad @ss section in there, they seem to think there is only one way to 'skin a cat'. (you know what i mean lol)

Shame you didnt get a tort they are actually very easy to keep, once you get the diet right you are laughing. my nan has a tort shes had this tort since she was a little girl she sticks him out in the summber and cools him in the winter he grazes on her weeds in his run and thats all the care she gives him, now resarch and what not has changed dramatically now that this is frowned upon but who am i to tell my nan thats kept this tort alive and healthy all these years shes doing it all wrong, shes got to be doing something right. My neighbour has about 7 torts some are hermans, his only go out on very sunny days and down here thats only abotu 2 weeks fo the year, the rest of the year his are in tort tables. His torts are thriving they are healthy happy and look great, he uses the same vet as me and has them MOT'd every spring and gets them wormed etc and every year the vet has nothing bad to say about them (exotics specialist and vet for 2 local zoos) If you decide you want a tort go for it do not listen to these people that seem to think that you have to be some kind of god to have one, just do your research talk to a few people you trust and know  and get the diet right and you are there.

I go against the grain my tort very rarely goes outside, and I always use her as a perfect example of it when I can, pancakes should not be cooled either so she is active all year round I do like to remind a certain member that when they go on and on about how all torts should be cooled.

I have wrote an essay again sorry

I will shut up and go back into my corner
